Static vs dynamic QR codes: which should you print?
This is the decision that matters most, and it is worth getting right before anything goes to a printer.
A static QR code holds the link inside the pattern itself. There is no redirect in the middle and no account behind it, so there is nothing to switch off or start billing for — print it and it still works in five years. A dynamic QR code points at a short URL that forwards to your real destination. That is genuinely useful, because you can re-point it after printing and most dynamic services count scans for you. The catch is that a dynamic code is only as reliable as the company running the redirect: if they start charging, add an interstitial, or shut down, every flyer you printed stops working.

QR code minimum size: how small can you go?
Size is measured in modules, not vibes. A module is one little square in the pattern. The practical floor is roughly 0.4 mm per module — below that, home and office printers smudge the squares together and phone cameras give up. That is the real answer to “what is the minimum size for a QR code”: it is not one fixed number of millimetres, it depends on how much data your link packs into the grid.
This is also why a long link needs a bigger print. More characters means a higher version — a denser grid — so each module gets less space at the same physical width. The generator works out your module size from the length of your link and the width in millimetres you chose, and tells you plainly when a link is too long for the space you gave it.
Then it does something most tools never bother with: after drawing the code, a separate routine reads the pattern back out of the image, decodes it, and checks it matches what you typed. If it says “decoded after rendering,” the code provably scans.

Putting a QR code with a logo in the middle
A logo in the centre works because a QR code carries spare copies of its own data — that is the error correction. Covering part of the pattern spends some of that spare capacity, and the usual failure is spending too much, so the code looks fine on screen and fails on a creased flyer.
The tool measures exactly how much of the spare capacity your logo consumes, deliberately keeps a tenth of it in reserve for real-world dirt and creases, and then decodes the finished code to prove it still reads. How big should a QR code be on each surface?
Start from the distance a guest scans from, not from what looks tidy in the layout. The rule of thumb is a code about a tenth of the scan distance. These are the surface presets the tool sizes against:

One catch the table cannot show: a long tracked link makes the pattern denser, so the same piece of paper becomes readable only from closer up.
