Set up Member Pricing
you want members, subscribers or wholesale buyers paying their own price - the requirements, the install, and your first member price in five minutes.
Member Pricing lets any audience – a WordPress role, a membership level, or simply anyone who is logged in – pay its own price on any WooCommerce product. A non-member cannot buy at the member price, because for them that price does not exist: not on the page, not in the cart, not at checkout. There is no hidden “members only” variation and no duplicate product to maintain – one product, one price per audience.
Requirements
- WooCommerce, installed and active – and that is the whole list. Member Pricing is a stand-alone plugin: it works on any WooCommerce shop, whether or not you sell tickets.
- WordPress 6.3+ and PHP 7.4+.
- The Venuera core is optional. When it is active, member prices apply to your event tickets automatically, per ticket type – see pricing products & tickets.
- A membership plugin is optional too. WordPress roles work out of the box; Paid Memberships Pro, Restrict Content Pro and WooCommerce Memberships are picked up automatically when present – see audiences.
Install and activate
- Go to Plugins → Add New → Upload Plugin, choose the Member Pricing zip, then Install Now and Activate.
- Activate your licence when prompted – like every Venuera add-on, Member Pricing needs an active licence to run. When a licence expires the plugin simply stands down and every buyer sees the public price.
Where everything lives
- Prices live on the product: edit any product and find the Member pricing card right under the price fields (or on each variation of a variable product).
- Settings live under WooCommerce → Settings → Products → Member pricing – the optional member label, the upsell line for non-members, and the point-of-sale behaviour. Settings sit under WooCommerce on purpose: the plugin works on any shop, with or without Venuera.
Your first member price
- Edit a product and scroll to the Member pricing card.
- Pick an audience from the dropdown – Any logged in user is a good first test – and click Add price.
- Type the price. The Saving column immediately shows what that audience saves against the regular price.
- Update the product.
Now view the product twice: in a private/incognito window you see the regular price; logged in, you see the member price with the regular price struck through – exactly how WooCommerce shows any other reduced price.
