Connect WooCommerce payments
you can create tickets but need to actually take money — cards, PayPal, or cash at the door.
Venuera does not process payments itself and charges no per-ticket commission. It uses WooCommerce’s payment gateways, so you keep 100% of the ticket price minus whatever your processor charges. You set payments up once in WooCommerce and every ticket sale flows through it.
Turn on a gateway
- Go to WooCommerce → Settings → Payments.
- Enable a gateway. WooPayments, Stripe and PayPal are the common choices for cards and wallets; install the matching extension if it isn’t already there.
- Follow the gateway’s connect flow (API keys or OAuth) and complete its account verification.
For testing, enable the built-in Cash on delivery or a gateway’s sandbox/test mode so you can place real orders without charging a card.
Currency and tax
Set your currency under WooCommerce → Settings → General. If you sell with tax included or added, configure it under WooCommerce → Settings → Tax — Venuera respects WooCommerce’s tax handling on ticket prices.
Verify a full purchase
Place one end-to-end test order: add a ticket, pay through your live or sandbox gateway, and confirm the order reaches Processing. When it does, Venuera issues the tickets and emails them — which is the next article.
