Edit your venue in 3D (and 2D)

The Venue Designer editor has the same 2D / 3D switch your buyers get. Use 2D for precise layout work and 3D to see how the room will really feel – and to arrange it directly in 3D. Both views edit one and the same design, so nothing ever has to be drawn twice.

2D editor – the same design and the same selected table, as a flat plan.

Switch between 2D and 3D

  1. Go to Venuera → Venue Designer and open a venue design.
  2. Click 3D in the 2D / 3D switch in the top-right corner of the canvas.
  3. Click 2D to go back. Your changes are already in the design.

Move around the scene (3D)

  • Drag on empty space to pan.
  • Right-drag to rotate the camera.
  • Scroll to zoom; zoom-to-fit works as in 2D.

Each zone remembers its own 3D camera, so when you come back to a zone the view is where you left it. New elements are dropped where the camera is looking.

Edit elements in 3D

  • Click an element to select it, Shift + click to select several.
  • Drag a selected element to move it.
  • Use the round handle to rotate it.
  • Use the corner and edge handles to resize it – the same rules as in 2D.

The properties panel, undo / redo, delete, copy / paste, zones, grid / snap and saving all work unchanged in 3D, because the 3D view edits the very same design as the 2D canvas.

Edit individual seats (2D)

Double-click a seating area or table in 3D to jump to 2D isolation mode, where you can move, delete or relabel single seats.

What you see is what buyers get

The 3D editor uses the same models as the buyer’s seat map – chairs, tables, stages, screens, standing areas, every seat shape (from armchairs to boats, tents and parking bays) and all venue icons. If it looks right in the editor, it looks right on the event page.
