Take cash & card payments
someone’s at the counter with cash or a card and you need to tender the sale and hand over a ticket immediately.
Once items are in the POS cart, you tender the sale and the ticket is issued on the spot – no printing required to admit the buyer.
Tender the sale
- Choose the payment method – Cash or Card (an external terminal). Any active WooCommerce payment gateways also appear.
- For cash, enter the amount given and the POS shows the change due.
- Complete the sale. A WooCommerce order is created and, when Venuera’s ticketing is active, the ticket (with its QR) is generated immediately. (If a customer pays only part of the total via split tender, the order is recorded as Partly paid and the balance is tracked.)
Card records a payment you take on a stand-alone card machine: you type the amount into the terminal yourself and the POS just logs how the sale was paid. If you connect a supported card terminal (Stripe Terminal, Square Terminal or SumUp), the register additionally gets a Card – [provider] method that sends the amount to the reader automatically and refunds back to the card – see Connect a card terminal.
Hand over a ticket without printing
Because the ticket exists the moment the sale completes, you can admit the buyer straight away – scan the QR from a screen, or print/issue a paper ticket if you prefer. The same delivery options as online (download, QR, PDF) are available.

Cash and card takings are tracked so they can be reconciled against the till at the end of a shift – see refunds & shift reports.
